The following is a list of private teachers who have openings for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. These teachers have their studios here in our American Band Instrument Service Music Education Center. The teachers do not work for American Band. They are independent. They make their own appointments and have their own payment options.

T. C. Cottrell : Guitar Teacher Tyler, Texas Cell Phone 618-447-4166
Mr. Cottrell has over twenty years experence performing with the U. S. Air Force Band. He teaches all styles of guitar. Mr. Cottrell has also given private instruction over the years when his schedule allowed. He hopes to do more teaching now that he is retired. Howard Galletly: Clarinet & Saxophone 903-894-7151
Howard
Galletly is a Band Director with over thirty-five years of experience.
He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North
Texas and his Master's of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at
Tyler. He is currently the Band Director at T. K. Gorman School in
Tyler. He also plays with the East Texas Jazz Orchestra. He has taught
private clarinet and saxophone lessons for many years. You may reach

Archie Jones, Jr.: Violin, Viola, Cello, String Bass Teacher 903-534-8367
Archie
Jones, Jr. has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Northwestern State University
at Natchitoches, LA. He also, has Suzuki Certification from the University
of Wisconsin. Mr. Jones is affiliated with symphonies in Shreveport, Marshall,
Longview, and South Arkansas. He has a few openings to instruct students
at the beginner, intermediate, or advanced level on a one-on-one basis
to strengthen string techniques and overall musicality. You may contact

Dr. Kenneth "Doc" Muckelroy: Trumpet Teacher 903-509-1911
Dr. Muckelroy retired having completed forty-four
years as a music teacher, and having
been a strong influence in the
lives and careers of hundreds of
students. He and his wife make
their home in Tyler. He
teaches privately and remains an
active member of the Texas Music
Educators Association, The International
Trumpet Guild and Bugles Across

Lloyd Roesch: Teaches French Horn 903-581-2217
Lloyd Roesch has
a Master's Degree from Louisiana State
University in Music Education. He has
over twenty years successful teaching
experience, and over thirty years as
a professional symphony orchestra musician.
He has also done Broadway musicals
and studio recordings. His students have consistently

I charge $75 per month flat rate regardless of either 4 or 5 weeks in the month. Lesson fees are based on one thirty minute lesson per week. Fees are due on the first lesson of the month.
