How
often do you
meet?The
Beginning Band
practices on Tuesdays
and
Thursdays from 4:30-5:30
pm. The Intermediate
Band
will meet on Tuesdays
and
Thursdays from 5:30-6:30.
We try to schedule
several performances
per semester. We take a
few
breaks
during the year
for holidays
Where
do we practice?
We practice
in the band hall at American
Band Instruments Service,
124 Shelley, Tyler (One
block North of Loop 323
between Broadway and
Old Bullard Rd.) When
can I sign up?
We are
currently enrolling beginners
in a beginner. Your registration
fee will reserve your
child's spot.
What if my child can already play his instrument and has a limited knowledge of reading music? Your child can join our intermediate band, which is already in progress. What if my child does not play an instrument and does not read music? The Beginner Band is just for your child. How much does it cost? Fees strictly cover the cost of hiring our Band Directors. There are breaks for families with more than one child participating.
How much is the registration fee? The registration fee is $75.00. It is non-refundable. It is deducted from the annual fee What about intsruments? Our Band Director is experienced in matching students with an instrument. We put a priority on teaching the child to play an instrument that is right for him, since we believe that each child that really tries will be successful. Each family must provide an instrument for their child. It is impossible to predict what expense will be incured since it varies. We will do everything we can to help you track down a good deal. (And let me tell you, we are gaining a lot of experience bargain hunting for instruments!) Where do I sign up?
