Troup Homecoming May 29, 2004

Eddy Fowler Big BandThe Eddy Fowler Big Band (Now the East Texas Jazz Orchestra) played for the Troup Homecoming of 2004 on May 29. The old gym-auditorium was backed to the walls.

The Master of Ceremonies was Smith County Sheriff J. B. Smith. Sheriff Smith is always a good speaker. Saturday night he outdid himself talking about the positive things happing in America, and how the major news media skews it's news in an anti American negative way.

Eddy Fowler Big BandA major part of the evening was dedicated to the recognition and honoring of our military veterans. Veterans were recognized by both the wars in which they served and was branch of the military they represented.

Our band played each of the songs dedicated to each one of the military branches. These included the SeaBees, Merchant Marines, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, and Air Force.

Eddy Fowler Big BandOf course the major entertainment of the evening was the music provided by the Eddy Fowler Big Band led by Dr. Edwin Fowler from Tyler, Texas.
