On Thursday 12,8, 2006, the East Texas Jazz Orchestra played the gala at Teen Mania Ministries and it was great. Attendance was about eleven hundred people. Our orchestra introduced Ms. Linda Heatley as our new vocalist. You can read about her under the musicians names at the left side of this page.

During our performance, not at the performance, our piano player Mr. Steve Smitha became the grandparent of a new baby boy. the whole band was excited. Steve could hardley dit still to perform.

We got a lot of praise from both the ministries administration and the audience at the party. We are always grateful when folks are appreciative of our band. Our band loves to play for these people.

Working with these people gives one hope for the future.
