The East Texas Jazz Orchestra was founded by Dr. Eddy Fowler, our friend and mentor. We are proud of the traditions we have inherited from him.
The East Texas Jazz Orchestra is the BIG BAND you really want to perform at your special function. We are eighteen professional musicians with the desire to entertain. Our performances include old 1940 style music up to some of the latest popular music.
The band uses 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, bass, guitar, and drums. And, we are very proud of the vocalist we added in 2007. Most of these professionals teach music as well as perform.
The band is available to perform for weddings, dances, parties, shows, and almost any special occasion. We come dressed in tux, suits, or golf shirts as you wish. The band is self contained except for chairs and electric outlets. We have our own stands, music, and sound re-enforcement equipment. The fee is less than you might think
