Welcome… I’m Mac Miller, the owner of American Band Instrument Service, and I truly do want to welcome you to our store.
As you can see by our front page, bandusa.com is a division of American
Band Instrument Service, which is the name of our local store. American
Band Instrument Service is situated in a stand-alone building in the
middle of the largest shopping area in East Texas. We have nearby coffee
shops, dance studios, photographers and other fine arts type businesses.
As our customer, you are naturally
more interested in our people.
Every person in our organization
is a musician and we are
all dedicated to
being as helpful as possible
to other musicians. Each
of us has been a part of a
school
band program, and we understand
the wants and needs
of band directors and musicians.
Public schools are our stock-in-trade
and we have developed a service
philosophy that is committed
to making the band director
and student musician's jobs
as easy as possible.
Over the past few years we have developed a following of professional
musicians in major cities throughout the country that send us their
instruments for professional quality repair. This part of our business
has grown exponentially for the past few years by “Word Of Mouth”.
It seems that nothing helps repair sales more than one professional
musician telling another about a great repair shop.
Our store has several private teaching studios. Unlike most stores,
we don’t charge for the use of these rooms. We believe this is part of the service we strive to provide our directors, teachers, and customers. Our “American
Band Music Education Center” is available to our private teachers for recitals.
We have many special events, along with several smaller events, in our
American Band Education Center, which is a rehearsal or meeting hall
that is attached to our store. We have a “Duel
of the Drummers” contest
that also includes clinics for percussion students. We have our “American
Band Idol” contest, which allows wind instrument
players to compete in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. The East
Texas Jazz Orchestra uses this facility for their
rehearsals, and sometimes performances.
